when people say that they’re ‘finding out who their true friends are’?

Well, that’s not exactly what’s happening to me right now. However, I am finding that I might have been holding on to some things for too long and that maybe I need to let them go.
Maybe some day we’ll be really close again, and you’re both still some of my best friends, I love you to death in all honesty. With one of you, I honestly think that some part of my life would be a bit void if I had never met you, you’re one of the greatest people I know and you deserve the world. With the other, last year wouldn’t have been half has fun without you in it and I’m so glad that you were there.

But perhaps it’s time that I just let the chips fall where they may. If I don’t feel as close to someone, maybe I should just let it go. I think we just need a reconnection, but whether we get it or not I’ll always be here for you both, no matter what.

I speak from experience: letting go can turn out to be fantastic.
